The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal a day when Summer taking a page out of her grandma’s book. She drinks herself into oblivion and becomes more and more miserable in the process. Watch for her to make some seriously terrible decisions.
Day drinking can be fun but it has its place and time, and this is not it for Summer (Hunter King). She misses an important meeting, lets more work slide to the side, and even causes laid back Theo to second guess hanging out with her. The more she drinks, the more insufferable she becomes.
Her downfall begins with a coffee break at Crimson Lights. She and Theo (Tyler Johnson) decide to take a breather from the bottle and sober up a bit so they can go the distance.
They still want to hit up the clubs and check out the nightlife but Summer’s so wasted she can hardly stand. Unfortunately, Summer will learn the error of her ways when a harsh text comes in from Kyle (Michael Mealor).
He warns her to get herself together because Billy is furious she checked out and her job is now on the line. Well, that’s all it takes for Summer to go from happy to hardly worth talking to.
Spoilers reveal she goes on a rant about Kyle and broods over their romance, their breakup, Lola (Sasha Calle) getting in the way, and even busting up the bridal shower. How dare they have a hens night for a woman who is planning a wedding to her already-married man!
Poor Theo will be subjected to this one-woman show and it will not be pretty. Summer is a mess, clearly not over her ex, and this is out of his comfort zone. In fact, he decides to not stick around.

Well, that sets Summer off! She got dumped by her husband and now abandoned by her drinking buddy. Talk about bad luck!
Thankfully, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) hits up the coffee shop at the exact right moment and sees the state her daughter is in. She jumps jump into action and takes care of the puddle of boozy mush.
Will this be what brings the mother/daughter duo back together? At least something good will come out of this bad situation. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
