He didn’t do anything to stop Phyllis and Adam from hacking in and stealing corporate secrets. (Does Rey even know anything about cyber-security? Is that standard police training?)

He also doesn’t know about Adam’s meeting with Kevin, or that Adam has a PI looking for Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). He promises to do better.

Now, he’s tasked with finding Phyllis. And making sure Nick knows everything Adam does before he even does it. Now, THAT is quite a task.
