The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, March 14 reveal the fallout from the bombshell verdict and hefty sentencing for three of the four women.
Now we’re onto the most important piece of the Nikki, Victoria, and Sharon trial – how Victor will feel about the whole thing. Plus, Billy decides to excoriate Phyllis again. Because he can.
Incompetence All Around!
Victor (Eric Braeden) was banned from the courtroom. So Jack (Peter Bergman) had to speak in Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) defense. He explained that she was the best woman he knew. B
Billy (Jason Thompson) spoke for Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and sobbed that she needs to be at home to kiss their children’s skinned knees.
Nick (Josh Morrow) covered all the women in the veil of sainthood, pointing out that sending them to prison will not make the situation any better.
(This seems akin to Chicago’s Billy Flynn reminding that taking the defendant’s life won’t bring the victim back – it’s always a surprise to the jury, he reports.)
And yet, the judge is not swayed. Since they, you know, killed a guy and buried him under a broken fountain. So she sentences Sharon to three years in prison, Victoria to 10, and Nikki to 30.
But, this was all without Victor offering an opinion on the proceedings. And we know our Victor. He is going to have an opinion. Mostly about everyone else’s failures.
Rinse, Repeat
Billy’s heartfelt plea …continue reading on the next page —>
Billy’s heartfelt plea did Victoria no good. And he can’t take his anger out on the judge. So he decides to take it out on Phyllis (Gina Tognoni).
Not that she isn’t to blame. Not that she isn’t an opportunist. Not that Phyllis can’t always use a good talking to. But, like in the Chicago example above, Billy yelling at Phyllis isn’t going to help Victoria, or anyone else.
He’s doing it for himself. And knowing Billy’s track record, now that Victoria is once again out of his grasp, is it time to ping-pong back to Phyllis.
