The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal a whole lot of surprises around town with Reed’s surprise return.
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) was shocked enough that her eldest son decided to return home for the holidays early without letting her know he was on his way.
She has enough trouble in her life that trying to keep what really happened to JT (Thad Luckinbill) a secret from Reed only adds to her stress.
And, of course, Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) is determined to learn what happened to his father. But, he also decides to visit an old friend and stops by the Ashby house to catch up with Mattie (Lexie Stevenson).
Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) is certainly not thrilled to see his twin’s ex there, but then realizes Reed has it worse than them. While Lily (Christel Khalil) will return to their home in less than a year, Reed lost his father for good.
While Charlie warms up to Reed being there, Cane (Daniel Goddard) certainly does not. When he walks in the kitchen, he tries to make nice but he’s secretly seething that Reed is back in his teenage daughter’s life.
When Reed leaves, Cane has a word with Mattie about Reed’s presence and ticks off his daughter. She ends up storming out of the kitchen proclaiming mom would understand.
Meanwhile, Billy (Jason Thompson) seems to have taken Jack’s (Peter Bergman) advice to heart and is visiting with Victoria.
The kids are already at school, but they discuss JT and Reed — and the evidence that Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) found linking Victor (Eric Braeden) to JT’s murder.
Of course, Reed walks in to hear this and is furious his mother and former stepfather were keeping this information from him. His grandfather killed his father? It seems insane, but Reed is willing to believe it and now Victoria and Billy have a whole lot of explaining to do.
