The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, April 4 promise dire news and tough choices for the Newman family.
Nick (Joshua Morrow), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and Arturo meet to discuss the building project. The Younger Newman notices his mother is crisp and businesslike with her former lover. Nikki confirms to Nick that their relationship is on hold.
Suddenly, she gets a phone call from the hospital. At Vicky’s (Amelia Heinle) place, JT (Thad Luckinbill) is none too happy when she alerts him there is an update at the hospital, and she needs to go.
At Jabot, Kyle settles into Jack’s (Peter Bergman) seat and instructs Gloria (Judith Chapman) to update the name on the door. Kyle makes it very clear to Gloria he is the boss, and he is taking over.
At home, Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) clash over Kyle and Jack. Abby is suspicious about Kyle’s ulterior motives while Ashley feels they need to tread carefully.
Suddenly, Dina (Marla Adams) interrupts them and blasts Ashley for not supplying the fridge with milk! She rips Ashley and wants her fired from the household staff.

At the studio, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James) are basking in the afterglow of babymaking. However, when Hilary goes in for a quick kiss after making an emotional admission, he shocks her!
Elsewhere, Billy (Jason Thompson) visits Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and decide they will keep tabs on Kyle’s activities. However, Ashley wants to do more and Billy is all in on her scheme.
At the hospital, Nikki and the family hear the dire news. Victor (Eric Braeden) has gone into sepsis. If his condition does not improve, his organs will start to deteriorate, and he will die.
It’s a heartbreaking moment as the Newman family digest the grim news. Nikki alerts everyone they will all have to decide on his life – pull the plug or not.

At the hospital, the family discuss the options they have if he ends up in a vegetative state. It’s a horrible conversation that leaves everyone emotionally drained.
Elsewhere, Vicky and JT attend a counseling session. However, as the meeting wears on, it becomes apparent there are severe issues in their relationship.

As soon as Simone leaves to use the restroom, Hilary dives in for the kill.
At the therapy session, JT defends his actions and does what he does best. He plays the blame game, but the therapist doesn’t buy it. She wants to know if JT has become violent and physical with Vicky. They reluctantly admit he has.
Vicky makes a feeble attempt to explain the incident but it’s obvious JT is abusive, and Vicky needs help.
At the Abbott house, Dina switches gears and worries about John going to jail, but she wants to tell him the secret.
Kyle is there and talks Dina down. When Dina questions who he is, Kyle makes a believable story. Dina immediately warms up to him.
