The Young and the Restless spoilers breakdown for Tuesday, August 28 reveal a day of bitterness, revenge plots, and a big-time move for some favorite Genoa City residents.
Coming Together For Sharon
Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) wedding is coming up fast and while everyone isn’t happy about it, most are putting their best foot forward.
The ladies even agree to put their differences with Sharon aside to plan a surprise bridal shower led by Mariah (Camryn Grimes). While most maids of honor have fun with this tradition, the TV host will soon realize working with the Newman women isn’t easy.
Not only do they not like Sharon, but they barely like each other. Spoilers reveal the tension between Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Vicky (Amelia Heinle) will rise and nearly ruin the party planning. The sisters are very much at war and there seems to be no white flag in sight.
The shower isn’t the only thing plaguing Vicky. She’s becoming a bigger bundle of stress by the day and it’s showing.
She’s snapping at everyone, she’s sleeping during the day, and is completely out of sorts. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) has had enough and forces her daughter to sit down and talk.
Nikki knows exactly what’s going on and begs her to find a way to cope with their situation. Vicky needs help, whether it’s therapy, a vacation, or a shoulder to lean on, but she can’t keep going on like this.

Later, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) gets a dose of sunshine when she meets up with Kyle (Michael Mealor). She’s been worrying herself sick over Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and the whole situation is grating on her nerves.
She’s even wondering if it’s time to give up and move on. However, her new bestie won’t let her simply give up. If she and Tessa are meant to be, then Mariah needs to keep her heart open for her return!
A Bold Move
Meanwhile, the Abbott family gets a shock when Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy (Jason Thompson) show up on the doorstep. They’re moving in, and Billy won’t take no for an answer. This is HIS father’s house and he intends to stay as long as he pleases.
Unfortunately, the move stresses Phyllis to the max. The last time she lived in the mansion, she was the woman of the house, and this time it’s just plain awkward. How will she cope with running into her ex, day in and day out?
Who’s My Father?
Speaking of Jack, he’s just as shocked but has other things going on. He simply can’t live without knowing who his father is and decides to start the search again. He vows to get to the truth no matter how long it takes or what twists and turns come his way.
Plan C
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Kyle realize Billy’s move will put a damper on their plans to take him down. Well, almost.
Kyle spills the Jaboat secret to Ashley, and while she’s appalled by Billy’s action, she knows they have no real proof. However, Kyle’s quick to devise another plot and this one’s bigger than badder than before.
If Billy played with Jabot’s money previously, he’ll certainly do it again, especially if they help make it happen!
