The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) raw breakdown for Thursday, May 24 tease suspicious minds and deep-seated insecurities overtake several Genoa City power players.
At Jabot, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is shellshocked to learn about Billy’s (Jason Thompson) companywide changes.
Instead of using the guide she gave him, her younger brother is steamrolling all her previous work.
Across town, Sharon (Sharon Case, Nick (Joshua Morrow), and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) discuss the pros and cons of Nick working for Victor (Eric Braeden). Sharon warns him that working with the powerhouse player is a very bad idea.
Nick brushes of her concerns citing Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) support and his father’s failing health. They turn to Mariah for her opinion on the matter. Instead, she reminds them there is a more important event to worry about for the day.
Elsewhere, Kyle and Billy discuss his employment at Jabot. Billy is willing to have Kyle along for the ride, but only if his nephew agrees to have his unwavering support.
Elsewhere, Sharon and Mariah leave to visit Cassie’s grave while Nick stays home. As soon as the women leave, he makes a phone call.
Back at Jabot, Billy grills Kyle on his support of the company. The young man stands firm on his commitment, but Billy still feels unsure about his true intentions.

Back at home, a surprise visitor shows up to give Nick advice. She’s an old friend and he respects her opinions.
In the meantime, Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) mull about Billy’s startling change. He is falling in love with power and losing his sight of the big picture, and she has a plan to take back the power from him.
Back at Jabot, Billy gives Kyle his first assignment: Review the Hamilton/Winters deal and cut a new one that gives them more leverage. Despite some reluctance, Kyle sets off.
Back at home, Phyllis drops by to help Nick with a problem. However, before the redhead can give Nick a piece of her mind about his desire to work with Victor, Sharon bursts through the door.
The women take jabs at each other and Phyllis leaves. However, before she goes, she reiterates to Nick: Going back to Newman is a bad idea. Sharon agrees.
Later that day, Nick drops by the barn (Victor’s workout room) and spends some moments reflecting on the big decision ahead of him.
At HW, Kyle drops by to see Devon about the sponsorship agreement. Neil updates the young businessman Devon is gone. However, he is more than happy to sit down and review the agreement.
