The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) for Wednesday, August 8 reveal one major blunder on Billy Abbott’s part — calling an emergency meeting for a super-secret project he’s been working on and, in the process, earning a newfound rival in Lauren.
Jabot is Growing, and So Is the Tension
Billy’s (Jason Thompson) plan to open a string of Jabot Boutiques is to, ultimately, boost the company’s profits. Unfortunately, they’re in direct competition with Fenmore’s cosmetics line, so naturally, Lauren was less-than-thrilled about the bombshell Billy dropped.
While Billy is “confident” that the new line of Jabot Boutiques will be a success, what isn’t a success is the reaction that Lauren (Tracey Bregman) or Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) have about it.
Their attempts to get him removed from the company are thwarted — for now — but Lauren calls Nick (Joshua Morrow) in for reinforcements since there’s no chance that she won’t walk over this.
And Phyllis, as usual, will be stuck in the middle between everyone. At least Summer still likes Billy…for now.

After making the case that she, in fact, was responsible for running the red light and causing the accident that claimed Hilary’s life, Lily then tried to make amends with Devon by pitching new hosts to take Hilary’s place on the show. (Timing, Lily, it’s all in the timing.)
Devon is infuriated by this, especially since he initially thought that Lily was trying to …continue reading on the next page —>
Devon is infuriated by this, especially since he initially thought that Lily was trying to take Hilary’s place on the show — prompting him to ask her how low she could possibly go.
Since Devon is already under the impression that Lily wanted Hilary out of his life (and she got her wish), he needed no further excuse to fire her from the firm…which is the last thing she needs, given that she’s looking at a 20-year prison sentence for running that red.
Can Devon ever find it in his heart to forgive Lily?
