The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, May 17 reveal a day of suspense and fear in Genoa City. And maybe even a little romance.
Adam is fed up with his new life already… even as a mysterious someone takes drastic action to keep him from leaving, while Victoria decides what she wants from Billy.
Shot In the Dark
Adam (Mark Grossman) told Sharon (Sharon Case) he’d give Genoa City a shot. He returned to town… with a secret duffel bag full of money.
But when Adam found out from Billy (Jason Thompson) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that he’d killed Delia, Adam became convinced Victor (Eric Braeden) was manipulating him so Adam will finally be the son Victor always wanted.
This was especially true when Victor gave him his version of events… which didn’t exactly mesh with Billy’s.
A furious Adam resolves to leave town — which is likely to make Nick (Joshua Morrow) happy, as Christian doesn’t need a second daddy… but he’s stopped by a bullet fired by an unknown assailant.
Is Nick eliminating the competition? Is Billy finally getting his revenge for Delia? Is Victor, like Roxie Hart in Chicago, proving that “No one walks out on me!”
Guess Adam will be sticking around for now – whether he wants to or not.

Victoria tells Billy she wants to take their relationship slowly. They’ve been down this road, multiple times, and she doesn’t want to take another wrong turn. Victoria says it’s to protect Johnny and Katie, but we all know it’s really about her.
JT (Thad Luckinbill) really did a number on Victoria’s trust and faith in her judgment, and she’s scared to take a leap.
Plus, hey, there’s the tech-mogul/musician she slept with in Vegas. That was fun. Until Billy showed up to put a damper on things.
