S age’s death on “The Young and the Restless” has left fans in a state of shock with questions are starting to arise about why Y&R would kill off such a beloved character. However, one question is bigger than the rest. Who was Sage trying to call before she crashed?

While most fans assume that Sage (Kelly Sullivan) called Nick (Joshua Morrow) to tell him their son was alive, we’re not quite so sure. When she left the voicemail, she didn’t specifically say Nick’s name, and now upcoming spoilers also confirm that it wasn’t her husband at all. She called someone else to talk about her baby.

Our best guess is she was calling baby daddy Adam (Justin Hartley), but why would she call him instead of calling Nick? She apparently had no idea that Adam was the father. In fact, he changed the paternity results to show that Nick was Christian’s daddy. Was she simply phoning him so she’d have a shoulder to lean on until she got to her husband, or is it something more?

It’s too bad that Sage didn’t leave the whole story on the voicemail. Will Adam be able to decipher that Christian is still alive or will he assume that she was just having a bad day? Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) recent loss has brought a lot of emotions forward in people, especially mothers who are still grieving their own babies.

If Adam does find out the truth, will he want to keep the baby for himself, or will he want to save both his and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) marriages by helping her with an elaborate cover up to keep Sully’s identity a secret forever?

With so many possibilities, anything can happen. While fans grieve the loss of Sage, they better prepare themselves for the onslaught of drama that’s yet to come.
