Next week, on The Young and the Restless, Cane Ashby’s actions and high-powered AI software threat have Genoa City’s heavyweight businessmen contemplating some seriously out-there moves. Three of the power players most affected: Billy Boy Abbott, Jack Abbott, and Victor Newman. What are their counter moves against Cane’s bid for GC corporate domination? Here’s the breakdown for the week of September 22-26.
Next Week on The Young and the Restless
Billy Abbott
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) said it. She sees that gambler’s look in Billy’s eyes, and he’s willing to bet everything on not just hitching his wagon to Cane (Billy Flynn). But getting revenge on Victor (Eric Braeden) and getting Chancellor back. Billy (Jason Thompson) is trashing his life to do it, meaning he’s pushing the people who love him away. But he thinks he’s owed this.
On Friday, Billy showed up at Cane’s train and spotted the billionaire’s inner circle, who are all included in Cane’s plans. Sitting on the outside of it must not have felt good. Needless to say, Billy is livid, and he makes a shocking threat. What does that threat involve?
It sounds like next week is pretty dramatic for Billy. He forces Sally (Courtney Hope) to make a tough decision. A price she pays for blabbing his plan to Jack (Peter Bergman), and he may even blame her for Cane severing their alliance.
Jack Abbott
Meanwhile, Jack and Diane (Susan Walters) take it upon themselves to rein in Billy. Unfortunately, that has to be easier said than done. Billy’s in the weeds with his revenge plans and, again, he feels this incessant need to prove himself to the Jacks, Jills (Jess Walton), and Victors of the world. How do Jack and Diane keep Billy from self-destructing this time?
Also, next week, Jack has a trick up his sleeve. But it’s unclear whether this has to do with Billy or the Cane Ashby destruction tour. What does Jack’s brainstorm involve?
Victor Newman
Victor thinks he can outdo Cane, so he makes the man an offer that’s hard to refuse. But the Moustache might not get the answer he wants by the end of the week, because Victor considers calling a truce with Jack. While they’ve been okay with each other before, it’s different now. Victor has been targeting Jack hardcore since Jack and Nikki’s night in that hotel room.
Will Victor actually go through with the truce, and does this mean we’ll see Victor and Jack on the same side sooner rather than later?
Odds & Ends
Speaking of Genoa City’s biggest threat, look for him to reconnect with Traci (Beth Maitland). They have some history, and it’ll be intriguing to see how the show deals with it now that there’s a new actor playing Cane. Also, look for Cane to end an alliance. It feels like he already ended one with Billy. Is this somebody totally different?
Elsewhere, Sally isn’t letting her trouble with Billy hold her back. When Sally and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) plot their next move, they could decide to take on a whole new venture, or they could try to salvage the Abbott Communications of it all.
Finally, we’re about to see where Claire’s mindset concerning Kyle (Michael Mealor) is when she receives an intriguing invitation. The sneak peek at the end of Friday’s episode shows Holden (Nathan Owens) asking Claire to go to Los Angeles with him. How will Claire respond?
