On The Young and the Restless, spoilers for the week of July 29 – August 2 focus on rough times for Sharon and Victor’s plan for Chancellor. Plus, what’s a loyalty test between siblings?
Strange and Confusing Time
Whatever is currently going on with Sharon (Sharon Case — can her character recover from this shocking twist?), she needs help. Clearly, she’s spending a lot of time thinking about Cassie (Camryn Grimes). Is this because of her medication issues, or is there something else at play here? Well, this coming week, look for her problems to multiply.
Sharon and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) receive a painful reminder of their past early in the week. Will this involve Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant)? Then, Sharon turns to her ex-husband. Look for her to make a confession to Nick (Joshua Morrow). And when Sharon has a rude awakening, will we get more answers about her condition?
So Many Problems
Billy (Jason Thompson) is booked and busy dealing with personal and professional problems. Personally, he can sense something is up with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman — who originally wasn’t thrilled with this particular story). He thinks they’ve been acting weird ever since they got back from seeing Connor (Judah Mackey) this last time. Subsequently, Billy and Sally (Courtney Hope) feel the need to compare notes. Do they arrive at a logical conclusion?
For the moment, Billy is really feeling himself at work. Chancellor and Winters have un-merged. He’s free to brainstorm logos where it’s all Abbott and very little Chancellor. And, of course, he’s also free to cross the line with Lily once again, which he does. What he doesn’t know is Victor’s plan to buy Chancellor out from under Billy, which results in Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) conspiring against Billy. Much like Sharon, Billy’s in for a rude awakening.
Odds and Ends
Lily (Christel Khalil) just may be collateral damage should Victor take over Chancellor. She’s currently co-running the place. But what happens if Victor buys Chancellor and puts Nikki in charge? Meanwhile, Lily also needs to have her eyes open with Devon (Bryton James) because he decides to test his sister’s loyalty. What is he hoping to accomplish here?
Moving on from the Newmans and the Winters to the Abbotts. Jack (Peter Bergman) loses patience with Kyle (Michael Mealor — Soap Hub feels someone connected to Kyle should return). What does his son do now? After all, Kyle has gotten really good at upsetting the Genoa City masses, especially now that he’s defected to Glissade.
Finally, speaking of Glissade, we can all look forward to a Diane (Susan Walters) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) confrontation. Both women are formidable and fearless, so what happens when Diane checks Audra?
