On The Young and the Restless, spoilers for the week of May 13 – May 17 focus on shocking news, power plays, dangerous turns, and much more.
Next Level Shock and Danger
The week amps up the shock and the awe factor in Genoa City. Several storylines ratchet up the emotional stakes. First, it’s the dangerous corporate shark-infested waters known as Chancellor-Winters. The toxicity levels at that splintered company are high. High for backstabbing, betrayal, and potentially ousting Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). While Devon (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Bryton James) and Nate (Sean Dominic) strategize about an exit plan for Jill’s eyes and ears, Lily (Christel Khalil) receives shocking news from Jill (Jess Walton) herself. Are there any casualties? What’s the damage? And how will any injured parties respond?
Meanwhile, Victor’s (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Eric Braeden — who raved about his costars’ recent scenes) latest revenge plot against Jordan (Colleen Zenk) takes a dangerous turn. When the teasers say “dangerous turn,” what does that actually mean? An IV drip of vodka? Jordan escaping? Is Jordan about to make her exit stage right? If that happens, prepare for Victor’s family to rebel against the Newman patriarch. As for the Abbott family, they’ve got their own mess to deal with, namely The Ashleys (Eileen Davidson), who devise a dangerous plan. Does this mean Tucker (Trevor St. John) needs to watch out?
Audra Takes Back Her Power
Ruh roh — Audra (Zuleyka Silver — who recently posted about her engagement) starts questioning Tucker’s loyalty again. Is this because he’s worried about Ashley’s mental health state? Or is it about Tucker suddenly proving himself to his son, Devon?
Because a Devon/Tucker alliance may leave Audra the odd woman out. This definitely explains why she makes a power move. Will this power move blindside Tucker? Will it send him reeling? Or will he see it coming?
Odds and Ends
Abby (Melissa Ordway) is not safe from CW’s corporate machinations. But she wanted to become a Chancellor-Winters board member, so she’ll have to deal with the consequences. Look for her loyalty to be tested. Will she have to choose between her man and her uncle?
A casualty of his own making is Daniel (Michael Graziadei), who finally swallows his pride. Does this mean he backs off his lawsuit? What move does he make? As for his mom, Phyllis’s plan to support Daniel backfires. Backfire in a harmless way or backfire in a Phyllis (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Michelle Stafford — who reveals the secret of the Ladies Who Lunch here) is out on her ear kind of way?
Finally, Sally (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Courtney Hope) has supported Adam during his crisis with Connor. But she also has her own issues to take care of. In fact, she finds herself at a crossroads. When she confides in her new bestie, Audra, she asks when the best time to “cut and run” is. Will she shut down her interior design company and find a new purpose? Maybe go back to fashion?
