On The Young and the Restless, spoilers for the week of August 26 – 30 focus on characters who can no longer double down on their lies. Plus, there are potential opportunities for peace and a ride on the dark side.
Jack (Peter Bergman) has pretty much figured out Victor’s plan for him. It involved exploiting the rift between Kyle (Michael Mealor) and his parents. But now that he and Diane (Susan Walters) have connected the dots over Victor (Eric Braeden — who’s excited about upcoming scenes) bankrolling Glissade, he wants to offer his son an olive branch. That way, Victor won’t win. However, Kyle hasn’t exactly been in feeling peaceful vibes when it comes to Jack and Diane. Are things about to change?
Victor, of course, has other plans. He sees no problem using Jack and Kyle’s rift to his advantage. So, who’s plan of attack will win out: Victor’s or Jack’s? Victor didn’t completely change his payback focus to Billy Boy Abbott (Jason Thompson). He still has Jack’s downfall set in his sights.
Previously, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) came clean to Billy. She admitted that she slept with Adam (Mark Grossman) in Baltimore. But it was only one night, and, according to Chelsea, it meant nothing. Now, she seeks forgiveness from Billy. Will he give it to her? Did she score points for coming clean? Or is she in the doghouse because it took her so long to confess?
Speaking of confessing, Adam must have to change his lying tactics now that he knows Chelsea caved. Two seconds ago, he doubled down on his lies and had Sally (Courtney Hope) almost convinced that he didn’t cheat on her with Chelsea. Unfortunately for Adam, he didn’t get ahead of this moment. The moment he is forced to come clean with Sally. In the sneak peek for next week, a drunk Billy confronts him in front of Sally. Adam, you in trouble!
Billy recently threw Lily (Christel Khalil) out of Chancellor. However, she vowed to fight for her right to co-CEO. She has put her heart and her soul into that company, and she doesn’t want to give it up. What are her next moves? Apparently, next week, she gets a history lesson from Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott).
Sharon (Sharon Case) continues to hell-ucinate Cameron (Linden Ashby). The scary side of her psyche is causing her to draw certain conclusions. “He” thinks this whole thing is about finding closure with Cassie (Camryn Grimes), which just might help her reunite with Nick (Joshua Morrow). What’s going on here is a bit convoluted, and it’s about to worsen. Because “Cameron” encourages Sharon to visit her dark side. What does that look like, and who needs to watch their backs instantly? Nick? Daniel? What in the world is going on with Sharon? At this point, she needs to check into a room next to Ashley (Eileen Davidson) in Paris.
Maybe Sharon can talk to Alan (Christopher Cousins), who is in town with Traci (Beth Maitland) after their whirlwind trip to Los Angeles. Look for Traci to open up to Alan. Again, we have to ask — is this truly Alan? We hope so. But some of us are having our doubts. After all, when he walked into the Abbott house the other day, it looked like the first time he had ever been there, which we know isn’t true. For now, we will choose to root for love and nothing more.
