Key Takeaways
- Lily and Cane’s night takes a romantic turn.
- An emotional Abby is comforted by another man.
- Phyllis goes out of her way to help Matt.
Next On…
Cane (Billy Flynn) and Lily (Christel Khalil) are inching closer to a reunion. The exes are now on friendly terms and about to be co-CEOs of Chancellor. But Lily seems ready to take things to the next level.
She invites Cane to the penthouse for dinner, and needless to say, he’s pleased with the offer. It doesn’t take long for the pair to start flirting.
Cane says that if he didn’t know any better, he’d think Lily was starting to like him. Lily responds with a smile, and it’s obvious she’s falling back in love with her ex.
Their night together could lead to more than just dinner. Perhaps they’ll finally give in to passion and solidify their reunion.
Daniel Offers a Shoulder to Lean On
Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) marital problems with Devon (Bryton James) aren’t getting any better. Their mounting issues are taking a toll on Abby, who gets support from a certain Genoa City hunk.
Daniel (Michael Graziadei) stops by Society and notices Abby seems upset. “You look like you could use a friend. Settle for me?” Daniel asks Abby.
Abby might take Daniel up on his offer and confide in him about Devon. Daniel is someone Abby might lean on as her problems worsen. With her marriage to Devon possibly reaching the breaking point, Abby could soon find herself in Daniel’s arms.
Phyllis and Matt Celebrate His Freedom
Over at Phyllis’ (Michelle Stafford) suite, she helps Matt (Roger Howarth) remove his ankle monitor. Although Victor (Eric Braeden) agreed to keep Matt out of jail, he still wants to keep tabs on Mr. Clark at all times. But Victor’s surveillance will hit a snag thanks to Phyllis.
Phyllis is falling fast and hard for Matt and is willing to do anything for him. After freeing him from the ankle monitor, Phyllis is in a joyful mood, and so is Matt. The two will probably make the most of Matt’s freedom, although there will be consequences.
Victor will be furious that Matt disobeyed him and might rescind their deal. Then, of course, there’s the possibility that Phyllis might learn the hard way that Matt can’t be trusted.
Matt might have just used Phyllis as a pawn in his plan to get free. Matt using and dumping Phyllis will cause more heartbreak for the redhead. Perhaps she should follow Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) advice when it comes to Matt.
