Scenes from Genoa City
At Society, Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane (Billy Flynn) are sitting cozily on the couch. It’s where they were at the end of the episode on Friday. Lily broke the news to Cane that Victor (Eric Braeden) had come through for her and handed her Chancellor. But that wasn’t all she had to say. Lily wanted to know if Cane would run the company for her.
On Monday, we’ll presumably get to hear Cane’s answer to Lily’s surprising offer. And it might not be as much of a no-brainer as one would think. The guy needs a job, yes. And he would kill to be connected to Lily in this way. As grateful as he would be to get this offer, he might think about the consequences or the fallout from saying yes.
First of all, Victor would HATE it if Cane ran that company. Not that he would have any say in it, because it’s no longer his, but he still has it out for the businessman formerly known as Aristotle Dumas. In fact, in Y&R’s weekly video preview, his test for Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) involves going after Cane. Second, how will Devon (Bryton James, who’s headed to Beyond the Gates‘ Fairmont Crest this week) react to Lily naming Cane the CEO of Chancellor, a company very near and dear to him because of those Chancellor ties? He doesn’t trust Cane. He’s made himself clear. How will he react when he finds out?
Lily will have another reason to celebrate on Monday, and that has everything to do with Malcolm (Shemar Moore). He’s back in Genoa City for a visit. From the above photos, he looks healthy after his bone marrow transplant, which helped treat his aplastic anemia. We’ll undoubtedly get an update on his health status.
Not only will Malcolm get some face time with Lily. He’ll sit down with Cane, whom he probably wants to thank in person for donating his bone marrow, for being a match. And he will also get to reconnect with Stephanie (Vivica A. Fox) and Holden (Nathan Owens) at the Chancellor Park Cafe.
