Confrontations and secrets are the theme this week in Genoa City. Spoilers for this week’s The Young and the Restless video has Jack confronting Billy about the Newman takeover, while Sharon becomes suspicious of Nick. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s ahead for February 16-20.

Key Takeaways

  • Daniel expresses his worry about his and Tessa’s future.
  • Tensions arise between Jack and Billy.
  • Nick tries to hide his pain from Sharon.

Next On…

Daniel (Michael Graziadei) receives a surprise visit from Danny (Michael Damian). The father and son meet at GCAC where Daniel fills Danny in on his and Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) relationship, and Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) situation.

With Mariah back in town, Daniel admits he has no idea what’s going to happen. Danny senses his son’s worry and asks if Mariah will finally let Tessa in now that everything’s out in the open.

The reason Tessa turned to Daniel was because Mariah pushed her away. Although she made it clear she was ready to move on with Daniel, Mariah’s return changes everything.

The Better Abbott Brother

Jack (Peter Bergman) can’t catch a break when it comes to the Abbott drama. This time he has to deal with his brother, Billy (Jason Thompson). After learning about Billy taking Chancellor as part of the Newman takeover, Jack is furious.

Jack goes to the Chancellor office to confront his brother and doesn’t hold back in voicing his disappointment. However, Billy defends his actions and claims Jack is jealous. Billy suggests that his big brother is pissed off because he’s the Abbott who finally bested Victor (Eric Braeden).

While there might be a little jealousy on Jack’s part, he’s more concerned that Billy’s making a mistake. Billy being in charge of Chancellor is a disaster waiting to happen. Jack can voice his opinion all he wants, but Billy will do what he wants without any regard for others.

Nick’s Behavior Raises Sharon’s Suspicions

Nick (Joshua Morrow) is still recovering from the leg injury sustained in the car crash with Matt (Roger Howarth). Although he’s putting on a brave front, Nick might be in more pain than he’s letting on.

During a stop at Crimson Lights, Nick is looking at a packet of pills, almost like he’s contemplating taking them. When Sharon (Sharon Case) arrives with his tea, a startled Nick quickly hides the packet. But it doesn’t go unnoticed by Sharon, who asks what he’s hiding.

Nick will probably shrug off Sharon’s question and claim it’s nothing. Yet it’ll do little to ease her worry about Nick. With Nick lying to Sharon, this could be the beginning of his addiction storyline that many are predicting.
