The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) reveal Reed making a very adult decision to deal with his father’s sudden disappearance.
Teen Angst
Reed’s been having a rough time since JT “left town.” He just got used to his dad being around and now feels abandoned once again. The whole ordeal has him on an emotional roller coaster and he can feel himself spiraling out of control.
A Road to Recovery
Thankfully, Reed’s mature enough to recognize how bad things are getting and take steps to make sure he doesn’t get worse.
He reaches out to Billy (Jason Thompson) for a listening ear and thinks he has a solution that’ll be good for everyone. But, he needs help approaching his mom with the idea.

Vicky’s Hesitation
Reed informs his mom he needs to get away from it all. He wants to not only move out of town but out of state and be by himself! He’s found a boarding school that centers around the arts and begs his mom to let him enroll.
The request shatters Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) soul. She’s only had Reed home for a short time and isn’t quite ready to let him go again.
However, the guilt over her role in his father’s death is getting to her and giving Reed what she wants is the least she can do.
