The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, January 4, 2021 kick off the new year with Phyllis and Nick wondering if they should take the plunge, while Chelsea and Adam find out the long-term consequences of her condition.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights
In an amazing coincidence, just after Mariah (Camryn Grimes) asked Nick (Joshua Morrow) whether he ever thought about getting married again, Nick starts thinking about… getting married again.
To Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). To whom he’s been married before. It is totally not because his first ex-wife, Sharon (Sharon Case) just tied the knot with Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), the perfect man.
Nick isn’t jealous. Or competitive. He just would suddenly like to discuss him and Phyllis making it legal. No reason. No reason at all. After all, every single time they’ve gotten together in the past, it’s always gone smoothly. What could possibly go wrong now?
Ain’t That a Kick in the Head?
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) was scheduled to have surgery to fix a leaky blood vessel in her head on New Year’s Day, but an emergency rupture caused the procedure to be moved up.
Adam (Mark Grossman), who is incapable of thinking he didn’t have an effect on anything that ever happens naturally assumed it was because, instead of getting take-out like he’d promised Chelsea, he stopped in to watch Sharon and Rey get married. It’s all about him, after all.
Elena (Brytni Sarpy) assured Adam that Chelsea would be fine, and she does come out of surgery more or less intact. But her life is going to be different from now on. She’ll have to make changes. Will some of them include maybe not hanging out with a guy who has her kidnapped periodically, not to mention at risk of getting shot and/or blown up? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
