The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, June 2, 2020 continue classic reruns featuring the Abbott family as Jack and John prepare to take Jabot back, and Ashley makes amends with Victor. The episode originally aired on September 17, 1999.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights

Victor (Eric Braeden) arrived in Genoa City a few years before the Abbotts. (Yes, believe it or not, for over a decade, Genoa City was filled with Fosters and Brookses, not Newmans and Abbotts. Technically, the Abbotts were there the whole time. They were just on the other side of the camera, where we couldn’t see them.)

From the time the Abbots showed up, Victor has been wanting to take over their company. He finally succeeded. It almost killed John (Jerry Douglas). But Jack (Peter Bergman) vowed to get it back and win back his father’s respect. He’s awfully close to getting his way. But Victor isn’t known for throwing in the towel either. Since it’s an Abbott tribute episode, can we hope that family will finally get a break?

Forgive and Forget

Victor and Ashley have quite the history, too. He cheated on Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) with her. She got pregnant but, thinking Nikki was terminally ill, aborted the baby. She didn’t want to stress poor, sensitive Victor. Then she had a small breakdown.

Then they got married. Then Victor screwed over her family. Ashley wasn’t pleased. But remember how Victor doesn’t throw in the towel? That applies to wanting to be adored by all women at all times, no matter who they may be romantically involved with. So as Jack prepares to get back Jabot, Victor decides to clear the air with Ashley. And we’re sure he has no ulterior motives at all.

Everything Victor does, he does out of love. Even if the people he does it to end up feeling distinctively unlovely. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
