The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, April 22, 2020, reveal a day of shocking revelations and revealing conversations.
We learn something more important than the question of who killed AJ? The next question is: Will Adam believe it when Victor tells him who killed AJ? Plus, Phyllis gets a pep talk from an ex-husband. Guess which one!
Adam (Mark Grossman) was so sure Victor (Eric Braeden) killed AJ the Loan Shark (what, that’s not his last name?) that he manipulated AJ’s daughter, Alyssa, into doing the legwork for him, then using the intel she dug up to blackmail Victor into dumping Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) and naming Adam CEO of Newman Enterprises.
But when Victoria flounced into her brother’s office to sing a rousing chorus of, “I know something you don’t know,” Adam went stomping over to Daddy’s demanding the truth. You know Victor wanted to say, “You can’t handle the truth!”
But then he dumped it on Adam anyway. Victor didn’t kill AJ, Adam did! Adam looked shocked. But did he look convinced? You can bet he’ll have a few questions for Dear Old Dad. Including but not limited to, “Then why can’t I remember anything about it?” Maybe he should have a chat with Rick Forrester over on The Bold and the Beautiful?
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) already knows she’s the smartest, hottest thing teetering around Genoa City on high heels. But a little extra pep talk doesn’t hurt. At least it doesn’t come from Victor.
Jack (Peter Bergman) stops by to tell his ex-wife that she is great, she can do anything she sets her mind to and, sure, her relationships with Nick (Joshua Morrow) have never, ever worked out in the past but, whatever number this is, is sure to be the charm, right?
After all, she’s the great and powerful Phyllis Summers. She always gets what she wants. Eventually. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
