Imani has been all over the place in The Young and the Restless spoilers. At first, she just seemed to resent that her mother had a secret child. (Well, technically two of them, if you count the late Hilary.) Then, it looked like she thought Amanda was a gold digger after the Ames family money.

Which is why she took out a restraining order against her newfound sister. But then Sutton (Jack Landron) was arrested. For the murder of Amanda (Mishael Morgan) and Hilary’s biological father. Naya (Ptosha Storey) begged Amanda to defend her grandfather.
And Imani (Leigh-Ann Rose) warned her to keep her distance. Amanda took the case and even dug up a connection to Victor (Eric Braeden) that might lead to reasonable doubt. Which is when Imani did a 180.

The Help
Imani came to Amanda and not only apologized for how she’d been acting, but offered to help in the defense. Hey, did you know Imani also went to law school? Twinsies! Amanda is suspicious, and Devon (Bryton James) mentions that he saw Sutton giving Imani a stern talking to. So what’s going on?
Imagine the Possibilities
Let’s first eliminate the impossible. Imani did not kill Richard. His car accident was long before she was born. But Imani – still smarting from that whole ‘my mother had another daughter with another guy’ thing – could have framed her grandfather for killing her mother’s long-ago lover… as a way of punishing a whole lot of birds with one stone.
Maybe Imani wants the whole sordid past to come out in court, for her mother and Amanda to be trashed in public, for Grandpa to go to jail… and for Imani to come out smelling like a rose… and in control of all that lovely family money.
