The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Victoria continues to be affected by Billy’s new love for Lily. She hasn’t been exactly subtle in showing her feelings about the situation. But would Victoria really sit by and do nothing about it? Soap Hub doesn’t think so.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wild Spec
So far, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) has used her kids, Johnny (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Katie (Sienna Mercuri), as emotional pawns in her quest to spend more time with Billy (Jason Thompson). Recently, she dropped by the ChancComm offices to tell Lily that she shouldn’t expect a future with the Abbott heir – all under the guise of being concerned for Lily (Christel Khalil), of course. (Not!)
In the words of the late Drucilla (Victoria Rowell), Billy and Lily can “see right through” Victoria’s “transparent act!” It’s time Victoria takes a more subtle approach, one that’s also direct and effective. Soap Hub is going to play armchair head writer and give the Newman heiress some ideas on how to get what she really wants.
Victoria’s Not-So Secrets
Victoria suggested that Billy be careful before he introduced Lily as his new girlfriend to their kids. Sure, Billy would want to make sure Lily’s going to be in the picture for the long haul before letting his children get to know her, but that’s just the point – Billy wants Lily to stick around. Victoria’s been coming up with reasons to hang around Billy. (“Katie hurt her arm!”) While we’ve no doubt that Katie was really injured, some of Victoria’s ploys have been fairly obvious.
Cane Is Able
There’s no better way to break up Lily and Billy than to bring back her former husband, the father of her children Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie (Lexie Stevenson). We’re talking about, of course, Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard). Cane and Lily went through a lot to find happiness only to be torn apart after Lily went to prison for her role in Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) vehicle-involved homicide.

Cane went off to find his father, Colin (Tristan Rogers), who cheated Devon (Bryton James) out of his billions. Well, Devon has his money back now so, there’s no need for Cane to keep trying to find his con artist pop.
The Plan
Here’s where Victoria, the savvy businesswoman needs to take center stage. Step 1: Victoria can use her considerable resources to locate Cane. Step 2: Fix with money whatever problem he has that’s been keeping him from returning home, assuming there is one. Step 3: Come clean with Cane. Ask him if he wants Lily back. Presuming the answer is yes, Victoria should be equally honest with Cane and tell him that she wants to reunite with Billy.
Once, Cane and Victoria get on the same page, they’re not really going to have to do much else. Cane being in Lily’s orbit again will likely take care of most of this issue. Their love story is likely stronger than the lovely compatibility that Lily and Billy share. Once Billy’s single, he may realize that Victoria is the woman with whom he should be sharing his life.
Of course, this is just wild speculation. Maybe Cane and Victoria will fall for each other? If they were to do that, how might their respective former partners respond? Goddard was a fan favorite on YR for a decade. Fans would love to see him back in Genoa City. Stay tuned to see if that happens. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
