The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal the trial beginning for a grave incident we saw nearly one year ago. And, the body? Nobody knows where it went. But there’s a trial nonetheless, so expect a whole lot of courtroom drama from everyone’s favorite drama king.
Christine (Lauralee Bell) finally has the chance to put not one, but THREE Newmans away and she relishes every single moment in front of the jury. She won’t take pity on or show mercy for any of the women.
She presents Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) as a cold-blooded killer and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Sharon (Sharon Case) as heartless criminals.
One of these women murdered JT Hellstrom and the others helped her hide the body. These women are vicious and a danger to society! It’s a cut and dry case as far as she’s concerned.
Hearing the DA rip apart his family proves too much for Victor (Eric Braeden). He loudly interrupts her opening statement and make a mockery of her brand of “justice” in a way only The Great Victor Newman can.
He hollers about her vendetta against his fine family and how she’s twisting a brutal situation to suit her needs.
He’s right, of course. Christine practically foams at the mouth every time a Newman walks away. She’s tried for years and years to make at least one of them pay to no avail. Something ALWAYS happens to turn the case.
However, none of this will mean anything to the judge. She stomps out Victor’s tantrum and threatens to lock him up if he keeps it up. It takes everything Victor has to calm down and walk away… for now.
Fortunately, the order comes a little too late. The jury heard what they heard and it’s sure to resonate with at least one of them, even if it’s not supposed to.
