The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, January 30, 2020, reveal a day of confrontations and manipulations in Genoa City as Victor assumes his rightful place at the center of everything that goes on.

Victor (Eric Braeden) didn’t want to hear about it when Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) wanted to talk about Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) relationship problems with Billy (Jason Thompson). Victor has made up his mind: Billy is bad news and Victoria would be better off without him. Full stop, no room for discussion.
It’s presumably why Victor hired a private detective to take pictures of Billy with Amanda (Mishael Morgan). Unless he just has photographers following everyone he knows around, and this one just happened to catch a picture of Billy with Amanda.
(Possible other option: It was Amanda who Victor actually wanted to be tailed and Billy is the one who happened to wander in.) Either way, now that Victor knows, Victor knows it’s his role to step in and throw some threats around. And teach some lessons.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) wishes she had Victor’s power! Heck, Phyllis wishes anyone — anyone at all — would so much as listen to her.
She knows that Adam (Mark Grossman) is up to something, and she suspects Chance (Donny Boaz) knows what that is. (She isn’t wrong.) So Phyllis will need to go after Chance to get to Adam.

But those are the side benefits. Phyllis needs to make a plan and set some priorities. So that one day, like Victor, she might have a finger in every Genoa City pie.
