Your The Young and the Restless spoilers weekly update for January 20-24, 2014 is here! Catch up on what you missed, get a sneak peek at what’s ahead, and find out how you can get involved in the soap opera community!
The pressure certainly rose on The Young and the Restless this week, with several situations coming to a head!
After agreeing to a treatment plan for her stage-two cancer, Sharon was finally ready to tell her family what had been weighing on her mind… even if she wasn’t prepared to tell anyone else just yet.
Adam had an announcement of his own, stating that his way of building a legacy for his son would be to reopen Dark Horse. That didn’t sit well with everyone, and neither did Lily’s visit to Genoa City, during which she made it clear that she would work against Devon’s plan to send Cane to prison.
Victoria’s troubles with Billy continue, and her hopes of reconnecting with the man grow fainter as he begins to seem like he’s pulling away in earnest.
He may be blocked from advancement elsewhere, though, after Amanda puts some firm boundaries in place… and focuses on her own desires. A similar pursuit guides Phyllis’s actions, but a significant setback forces her to consider something more drastic.
It’s safe to say that we’re in for some pretty emotional moments, with a deep focus on what people are thinking. We’ll want to watch for every nuance… and if you agree (or disagree) with certain decisions, don’t keep it yourself. In fact, we want to hear any thoughts you might have at all! What did you like most about this week? What are you most excited to see next week? Share it all with everyone in the comments, and remember, there’s always more in the way of soap opera spoilers, news, and exclusive updates in our free newsletter. Until next time, fans, thanks so much for watching! I’m Pierce Culver, and I’ll see you again soon!
Y&R made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades’ worth of storylines has kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family machinations, to Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) heroism, to the adorable love story of Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle), Y&R knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting, and soap operas are shrinking.
Y&R is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B). Y&R airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
