YR Weekly Recap

The atmosphere got icy on The Young and the Restless, but it sure looks like things will be heating up! Connor’s mental health took a turn, and he decided that it was himself and his parents against the world, which led to him swearing a secret oath against Sharon.

Speaking of secrets, Abby was outed as the jewel thief, and now Phyllis seems like she’ll quickly regain the upper hand.

There was also a fair amount of drama between Theo and Summer… because after she turned down his offer for them to live together, he cut all romantic ties with her, right then and there. If the temperature keeps rising, someone is going to get burned! Here are the spoilers!

YR Weekly Teasers

Devon finds it increasingly difficult to keep Amanda off his mind, even as several situations continue to evolve around him. Summer’s circumstances begin to shift, as well, starting with a warning from Mariah… and then with a discovery of her own.

Suspicions also start to rise in Victor’s mind, but even as he decides to pursue them, an unexpected arrival changes the mood in the Newman household.

The Young and the Restless History

YR made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family machinations to Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) heroism to the adorable love story of Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle), YR knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of Our Lives (DAYS), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). YR airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
