We started to see through the billows on The Young and the Restless this week, but the heat kept rising nonetheless! Adam discovered that Victor was a prime suspect for AJ’s murder, and he used that piece of knowledge to blackmail his father.

Things got worse for Sharon, too, when she was told that her chemotherapy wasn’t working and that her battle to beat cancer would be harder than ever.

There was some good news in Genoa City, which was offered as an announcement that Nick and Phyllis are back together… although some people were less than happy. In an attempt at offsetting certain situations, Jack issues a compelling challenge to both Theo and Kyle, and they each approach things in their own respective ways.

Victor will be following his own path, as well, when he decides that the only course of action is to handle circumstances by himself. Tensions rise between other Newmans, too, when Nick and Adam once again take to circling each other.

The Young and the Restless’s History

Y&R made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades’ worth of storylines has kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family machinations to Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) heroism, to the adorable love story of Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle), Y&R knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting, and soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

Y&R is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B). Y&R airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
