Your The Young and the Restless spoilers weekly update for April 13-17, 2020, is here! Catch up on what you missed, get a sneak peek at what’s ahead, and find out how you can get involved in the soap opera community!
We found some burning embers on The Young and the Restless this week, and they soon erupted into open flame!
Adam’s attempts at blackmailing Victor seemed to bear fruit, leaving him in charge of the company… and Victoria without much of a return. While the Newman family was facing off, Sharon was facing surgery, as her latest test results showed it to be the only option.
At the same time, Jack reached his wit’s end where Theo and Kyle were concerned, ultimately laying out a challenge that was meant to make their rivalry into something productive. The fire is only rising, and next week will bring an inferno. Here are the spoilers!
Adam continues to consolidate his newfound power, hatching a new scheme with Chelsea that should keep them from losing the upper hand. Kyle and Summer do something remarkably similar, devising a plot that’s intended to give them an advantage.
Even as those conspiracies are taking place, though, it turns out that Victor has a secret ace up his sleeve… and it’s one which Nikki is shocked to hear about.
We’ve seen a lot of action this week, and next week will be pretty unpredictable. With so much going on, it’s easy to miss occasional details… but that’s why Soap Hub is here to help. If you have any questions, thoughts, or even theories, don’t hesitate to share them with the community!

Y&R made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades’ worth of storylines has kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family machinations, to Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) heroism, to the adorable love story of Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle), Y&R knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting, and soap operas are shrinking.
Y&R is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B). Y&R airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
