The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Victor’s illness taking yet another drastic turn. There’s an experimental treatment on the table but are the risks worth the rewards? Make sure to tune in for some heartwrenching scenes with the Newman family.
The good news is, Victor (Eric Braeden) has a chance at a long life. The bad news is, he may not remember most of it. Nate (Sean Dominic) found his number one patient an experimental treatment but the side effects are horrific. The protocol has a strong hope of putting his illness into remission but it will come at a cost. A very high cost.
It turns out the main side effect is diminished mental capacity. And, not a mild deficiency either. There is a very real chance Victor could lose memories, brain control, and his mental faculties.
The whole ordeal is a lot to take in and Victor makes a shocking move and calls upon Nick (Joshua Morrow) to help him decide what to do next. Poor Nick loves his father to no end and can’t imagine Victor NOT going through with treatment regardless of the risks.
In fact, Victor not taking risks feels off. He is a high roller in business and pushes the envelope with every scheme. The Mustache is never afraid of anything — let alone some pesky meds.
Also, What choice does Victor have? Yes, there are many things that could go wrong but the alternative is worse. Not trying means dying and no one wants that! Well, okay, there are some people who would love to see Victor on the coroner’s table, his youngest son included. In a bit of a twist, it turns out a confrontation with Adam is what makes up Victor’s mind.
Victor takes to the boxing bag to prove his strength. Unfortunately, when Adam shows up, one blow takes its toll on The Mustache. The emotional day, the physical activity, and throwing stones back and forth with Adam have him near collapse.
If Victor can’t handle this there’s no telling how much worse he’ll become. Maybe, just maybe, those meds are worth it after all. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
