The Young and the Restless spoilers for July 20-24, 2020 reveal a special week dedicated to some fan-favorite episodes.
Last week, it was all about the Fisher-Baldwin dynasty. Now YR is gearing up to spotlight some of the most requested moments, including its very first episode!
On Monday, July 20, the clock turns back to March 26 and March 27, 1973, as fans will be presented the opportunity to view YR’s first two episodes! The Genoa City of yore was a very different place. It’s not yet the metropolis dominated by the likes of Victor Newman and the Abbotts, though it is home to Chancellor Industries and the Genoa City Chronicle – the only source for good, honest journalism.
The town and its inhabitants are unknown to Brad Elliot, the mysterious vagabond who soon finds himself involved with a number of characters including Stuart Brooks, patriarch of the Brooks family — and the owner and operator of the newspaper.
The reveal of Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) face post-cosmetic procedure – a moment which originally took place on March 28, 1984 – is the highlight of the episode airing on Tuesday, July 21.
The episode repeated on Wednesday, July 22, originally aired back in the spring of 1993 and it features newlyweds Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Dru (Victoria Rowell) celebrating with their family and friends. Michael’s (Christian Le Blanc) perverse scheme to get revenge on Christine is also featured.
Katy Perry’s guest spot will be the main story thread in Thursday’s episode. However, fans will also witness Jill (Jess Walton) pushing Gloria’s (Judith Chapman) buttons and Adam (then-Chris Engen) pleading his case to Victor (Eric Braeden).
The week wraps up with a look back at Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) wedding day. Prior to the ceremony, Neil does his best to make amends with the prospective bride and groom and Lauren (Tracey Bregman) offers Hilary some words of wisdom.
All seems to proceed as normal. However, Devon makes his way down the aisle with a secret. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
