Many believe there is no Cane (Daniel Goddard) without Lily (Christel Khalil) and luckily, she’s heading home. Teasers show she’ll be in town this week to see Devon (Bryton James). Is it possible she and Cane reconnect and he joins her in her new life? Maybe, but, not before Cane deals with Katherine’s cash!

Take the Money And Run?

Is the brand-new will the real deal? If not, is it real enough to fool Devon? So far, yes. Devon is all but convinced the billions are in the wrong bank account. Heck, he’s even mentally breaking down his assets to make sure he hands over what’s due.

There’s nothing keeping Cane in town once he’s a rich bachelor. He can take baby Sam (you know, the child we haven’t seen since before Lily went to jail) and leave town. He can have a fresh start, in a fresh city, and start again.

Of course, he’ll have to leave town if this is all a scam. Cane started as a con artist and he could leave the same way. Perhaps this is a scheme, and with a dad like Colin, anything is possible.

There would still be the possibility of seeing him once in a while. We may even get some Sam action if the tot has to live in Jill (Jess Walton) or Devon’s care. Or even Lily’s.

If the writers want Cane gone, death is definitely the way to do it. They killed him once and had to come up with an evil twin storyline to bring him back.

Unless there’s a triplet out there somewhere, dead would mean forever. Could this really be the end of the Ashbys once and for all? It certainly would make for a great murder mystery! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
