The Young and the Restless spoilers have taken a hiatus much like the show. But that could give them time to fix some things. On YR, like in real life, sometimes children move away from their parents. They never call, they never write, it’s like they no longer exist… and more often than not, that’s just not right.

Should the show’s production team take advantage of this hiatus to lure some of them home again? And which child should it be?

Fine, Fen

He’s been gone the least amount of time, which means viewers still vaguely remember Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and Michael’s (Christian J. Le Blanc) son, Fen (Zach Tinker). Remember when he had a thing for Lola (Sasha Calle)? She’s single again! (Well, she’s still technically married, but her husband is having sex with his ex-wife, so it’s close enough.)

The Other Brother

And if not Fen, then why not Lauren’s first-born, Scott? Remember when he had a thing for Sharon (Sharon Case)? But also slept with Abby (Melissa Ordway)? Sure, they’re both in relationships now. But those will likely end as quickly as all their previous ones.

Fine and Danieldy

Reruns introduced newer fans to Phyllis’s (Michelle Stafford) oldest, Daniel. He had a relationship with Lily (Christel Khalil). And she’s free now! He’s also the father of Phyllis’s granddaughter, Lucy. Do you, or do you not want to hear a little girl calling Phyllis Granny?

Heather Weather

Reruns have also let fans know that Paul has a daughter, Heather. He and her mother, April, divorced when Heather was a baby, and April moved away. She came back to Genoa City with Heather, who was a pre-teen, confessed that her husband, Robert, was abusing her, then went on trial for his murder.

Once April was cleared, she and Heather moved away again. Heather returned an adult – and a lawyer, at that – played by Emmy winners Eden Riegel and Jennifer Landon. Considering how rarely we see Paul’s wife, Christine, these days, could Paul use another legal eagle to squabble with? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
