The Young and the Restless spoilers show Victor Newman is capable of quite a bit. When viewers first met him back in 1980, he was a ruthless businessman who did more than stomp his feet and make empty threats. His neglected wife, Julia, was having an affair with a fellow named Michael. So Victor locked Michael up in his basement and tortured him. Dude had it coming.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers Spec
He’s mellowed a bit since then. But, then, Victor (Eric Braeden) reverted to type, threatening to let Ashland (Richard Burgi) die from a presumed heart attack if he didn’t sign the documents letting Victor and Adam (Mark Grossman) take over his company. This made us wonder what The Mustache has been up to in between.
Blast From the Past
In order to defend her grandfather, Sutton, from the charge of having killed her father, Robert, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) looked around for another possible culprit. And, what do you know, she found one: Newman Enterprises.
Seems Robert was taking donations to Sutton’s (Jack Landron) political campaigns in exchange for favorable kickbacks to Newman Enterprises. So, you know, business as usual. Amanda’s theory is that the deal went wrong, and some unnamed Newman executive arranged for Robert to have a tragic accident.
Stay Out
She asked Victor some simple questions. And he flipped out: Threatening, mumbling, deflecting, the whole gamut of his usual emotions. The ones he whips out when his opponent is onto something.
What if it wasn’t some unnamed Newman flunky? What if it was Victor himself who saw a problem… and decided to take care of it. (Victor, like Thanos, is quite likely to assume he is the only competent person in the equation, and thus prone to sighing, “Fine, I’ll do it myself.”)
Amanda hit a nerve. Will she be able to prove it? #TeamAmanda! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
