The Young and the Restless spoilers hint there is still more that happened in Vegas that won’t stay there. Chance returned to Genoa City with a BIG SECRET. This is good. A soap character without a BIG SECRET is a soap character who’s kind of dull.

Fans were intrigued. We sat through his rescue of Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Co. at The Grand Phoenix, and his romance with Abby (Melissa Ordway), all the while wondering: WHAT COULD THIS BIG SECRET BE?
We finally found out: While Chance (Donny Boaz) was undercover in Las Vegas, he and Adam (Mark Grossman), who, at that point, didn’t remember being Adam Newman, killed a guy (totes in self-defense), then covered it up when his wife came around asking questions.
Actions Have Consequences
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) planted a bug on Chance and Adam and learned their BIG SECRET. She used it to blackmail Chelsea and Abby out of their shares of The Grand Phoenix. (Women always got to be cleaning up after their men, am I right?)
Is That All There Is?
But is that really all that Chance is hiding? The guy is basically Black Ops. Are you saying that covering up a single on-duty death, which he could easily have classified as necessary and probably gotten a medal for it, to boot, is the worst thing he’s ever done?
Maybe it’s the worst thing he’s ever done with Adam. But it can’t be the worst ever?
Morals Clause
We’ve seen that Chance’s morality is… fluid. Not only was there the whole killing a guy and covering up his death thing, but Chance, despite presumably having sworn to protect and serve truth, justice, and the American way, had no problem with Abby dressing up as Phyllis and breaking into her safety deposit box. Not to mention, earlier, breaking and entering into her hotel room.
Chance will do anything if he thinks he’s in the right. Now let’s find out what he did wrong…The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
