When last we left off with The Young and the Restless Spoilers — the big story was Victoria stopping Adam from blackmailing Victor into handing Newman Enterprises over to him – much to Victor’s chagrin. Also, Sharon was about to have surgery for her cancer, Kyle had left Lola for Summer, Phyllis and Abby were sniping over a hotel, and Jack was still single, for some reason.

Those stories had been in place for weeks, sometimes months. And they seemed to be spinning in place. What if, when the show comes back, it doesn’t pick up where it left off, but takes a leap into the future (our present)?

All stories have dull parts to basically set up for the exciting parts. But what if YR decided to skip all that, and thrust us right into the action? Not only would it be fun to figure out where we now are, but it would also be even more fun to guess how we got there.

What if, when the show resumes, Adam (Mark Grossman) is suddenly running Newman. How did that happen, we’ll wonder. What if Kyle (Michael Mealor) is back with Lola (Sasha Calle)? What if Sharon (Sharon Case) has disappeared?

What if Devon (Bryton James) is hot for Amanda (Mishael Morgan), and what if Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is the one under the sheets with Chance (Danny Boaz) instead of Abby (Melissa Ordway)?

And what if Jack (Peter Bergman) is seriously involved with a mystery woman… whom Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and even Traci (Beth Maitland) absolutely hate? We’ll definitely wonder how it all happened. And we’ll tune in to find out!
