The Young and the Restless spoilers show team Chancellor baby is gearing up for their big day. Devon and Abby soon head to the doctor to retrieve their samples so it will not be long before Mariah goes in for her procedure. Teasers reveal this storyline won’t go the way anyone planned.
Rumor has it, the surrogacy story will go very, very badly for Abby (Melissa Ordway). She and Chance may not walk away from this with a precious bundle. However, we think someone else will – Devon (Bryton James). And, we think this baby is more special than he could ever imagine.
Picture this; the lab, sometime next week. The lab tech is looking at the paperwork to match the samples to the file. The paternal name is Hamilton, so they grab Devon’s (petri dish) deposit. Under maternal, it also says Hamilton as well. Uh-oh! (or yay! depending on who you are.) Instead of grabbing the Chancellor egg, they go into the vault and retrieve Hilary’s previously frozen eggs instead. Bing, bang, boom, baby “Hevon” is made!
The implantation happens before anyone knows a thing. The procedure goes beautifully, and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is pregnant. Everyone celebrates, and Abby is over the moon. Well, okay, she’s super happy until the lab calls after doing inventory, realizing their mistake. Whoops!
How will Mariah and Devon take the news? There is no way he would walk away from his and Hilary’s baby. Mariah will definitely want to continue the pregnancy. She was Hilary’s bestie, after all, not to mention how much she adores Devon.
The news will stun everyone. Devon will get his second chance at fatherhood with Hilary (sort of), it will give Abby and Chance time to make a baby with their own DNA, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) will gain a very special family member, and of course, this will destroy Elena (Brytni Sarpy). She thought Amanda having Hilary’s face was competition, just wait until Devon gets this baby. Oh, and it will be so much worse if she is pregnant too and already in the middle of a who’s-the-daddy situation.
We even have the perfect name for this sweet bundle of joy. Let’s give Devon a little girl and he honors his and Hilary’s fandom with the name Heaven.
