The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, April 2, 2020, tease a terrible day for Sharon. She has a visit with her oncologist and is definitely going to regret going alone.
It’s a heartbreaking afternoon for everyone’s favorite Genoa City mom. Sharon (Sharon Case) walks into the doctor’s office scared but optimistic. However, her optimism will not last long. By the end of the appointment, she feels lost, alone, and terrified for her future.
She will also feel the error of trying to go it alone. Will this be the last time she leaves Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) at home?
Sharon’s spent weeks being pumped full of chemo, sick as a dog, and suffering. She thought she’d just have to weather that storm, maybe have a small operation, and she would be all done. Sadly, that’s not the case. The chemo didn’t its job and the tumor has yet to shrink the way the doctors were hoping.
Poor Sharon hears this awful news completely alone and nearly collapses with grief. She tries to keep a brave face on but the diagnosis stings and she loses track of everything her doctor is saying. It’s a lot to take in and she gets lost in all the medical mumbo jumbo.

For the first time in a very long time, Sharon takes comfort in those she loves. Rey finds her having a bad moment at Crimson Lights and she lets him take her in his arms and even bring her home. Sharon tells Rey everything. The chemo didn’t work and now she could face the decision of a mastectomy.
Not only does she let Rey in, but she texts Mariah too. Sharon is facing an uphill battle and needs her daughter by her side. This is going to be a rough road and Sharon could use all the love, support, and kindness she can get.
Does this mean she will finally let others into the fold too? So far, only a handful of people know she has cancer and while she intended on keeping it that way, things are changing fast and hiding her illness will not be an option for much longer.
