The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, April 20, 2020, reveal Sharon preparing for surgery as her entire family steps up to show their support. Sharon doesn’t want a pity party so they throw her a proper one instead! It’s a bittersweet evening of treats, presents, and family fun.

Sharon (Sharon Case) dreads going under the knife, especially after her pre-surgery appointment. Sure, she says the meeting went well and she feels a bit better about her big day, but it’s clear she’s afraid.

However, instead of showing the fear, she does what she always does and slaps on a brave face and tries to step up for her daughters.  She’s in for a surprise, though, they have a night planned to take her mind off her troubles and show her what love is all about.

A Day All About Sharon

Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Sharon’s favorite men are waiting to give her some special gifts, share some great memories, and have a nice little get together to celebrate Sharon. Even Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) sends her best wishes in the form of a gift basket. It’s definitely a night to remember.

Here’s Looking At You, Kid

What they don’t know, is Sharon has a surprise of her own for one of her children. She takes Mariah (Camryn Grimes) aside, sits her down, and lays a massive bombshell at her feet. Sharon decided on Mariah has her healthcare proxy!

It’s a huge responsibility. If something goes wrong, Mariah will hold Sharon’s future in her hands and maybe even make decisions to save her or let her go. Sharon jokes she plans to sleep through the surgery and wake up to everything finally being all good and well.

A Matter Of Life Or Death?

Does this mean we could have a medical drama coming up? Some rumors have Sharon slipping into a coma after surgery and Mariah being forced to make several hard calls.
