The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sharon Gets A Shock After Surgery

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, August 11, 2020, reveal Sharon is out of surgery and home — but not everything goes as she planned.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Highlights

First, her family shows up, just after Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) gets her home, with food from all her favorite places, despite Sharon (Sharon Case) being in pain and exhausted. But she welcomes their company until she hears something she never expected to hear.

Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) accidentally mentions how she ran into Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) while getting pizza and Nick gives her a look to keep her mouth shut. But the proverbial cat is now halfway out of the bag and Nick has to fess up. He and Phyllis are back together and Sharon is stunned by the news.

She is also not happy at the news and wonders if Phyllis sent her that gift basket right before her surgery out of guilt. Sharon realizes this is something she’ll have to put up with in life once again and part of her doesn’t want all that company at the moment.

However, she does want Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and once she has her alone she pours her heart out about how inadequate she feels now, especially with the scars on her body. She tells Mariah she just wants another woman to talk to who might understand and Mariah promises to be there for her mother every step of the way.

By the end of the evening, a drained and exhausted Sharon does manage to put a smile on her face and eat some of that pizza, but it’s obvious her new normal — and not knowing if the surgery even helped rid her body of the cancer — is going to take a toll on her.
