The Young and the Restless spoiler breakdown for Tuesday, September 4 reveal Lily learning her fate — and it’s not good.

Devon Steps Up
The courtroom drama explodes when the judge returns in to deliver his sentencing. However, before he can, Devon stands up and makes a shocking last minute plea.

Yes, he DID ask for the maximum sentence just minutes before, but he’s had a change of heart. Lily’s his sister and he can’t imagine her children losing their mother.

It’s not all sunshine and roses though. Devon may do the ]right thing, but his family is still torn apart, his wife is dead, and forgiveness isn’t on the table.

All the praise and thank-you’s in the world won’t change anything. He even storms out of the courthouse while the judge leaves to deliberate once again.

A talk with Cane (Daniel Goddard) at Crimson Lights only angers Devon more but a chat with Sharon hits Devon in the heart.

She knows what it’s like to lose a loved one in a tragic accident. She couldn’t breathe without feeling guilty for living after Cassie died and she urges Devon to not live that way, too. Family is everything, especially during tragedy.

The family then sits in silence when the judge returns with his fresh sentence and they’re stunned by his verdict. Lily will receive a $50,000 fine, a two year driving suspension, and 12 months behind bars!

Meddling Mama!
Elsewere, Sharon (Sharon Case) pulls her daughter aside for a serious talk about Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). Her instincts are telling her something’s up and she can sense Tessa’s hiding something massive.

Of course, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) won’t spill about Tessa needing a truckload of cold, hard cash. Ultimately, Sharon wants Tessa out of her house until she can prove she’s trustworthy.

None of this stops Mariah, though. She’s dead set in her belief Tessa is back to be with her.

In fact, she’s not done fighting for her. She may not convince Sharon to let her live at the ranch (or even at the condos), but she does convince her to give Tessa a job!

If nothing else, at least Sharon can keep her eye on her daughter’s wayward girlfriend!
