The Young and the Restless spoilers breakdown for Wednesday, October 17 promise another day of tension for the Abbott family… and a massive shocker for Phyllis.

The Abbotts Break!
Jack’s (Peter Bergman) not one to hold a grudge and plans a big family breakfast to bring everyone together.

Sure, they’re all still raw and angry but he’s determined to at least get the conversation rolling. His heart may be in the right place, but this grand gesture is too much, too soon.

It’s not long before the whole family is fighting. Everyone is wrong, everyone is right, and everyone is a target.

Past sins are brought to the forefront and recent transgressions take center stage.

Poor Dina (Marla Adams) gets caught up in the middle of it all and breaks down. Sadly, it takes her tears and cries to get the family to stop and put down the pitchforks.

In fact, Dina’s sobbing even prompts Ashley to pack her bags and move out of the mansion!

Don’t Mess With My Mama!
Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) back and it looks like she came home right on time. Her mom and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) look a little too cozy and she jumps into action to squash any budding romance.

Speaking of blackmailers, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) finally gets the lowdown on Nikki’s single-dollar play. It may not be her ideal situation but she approves. This will either force the blackmailers away or bring them out full force. Either way, she’s ready.

The Daughter Of All Scandals!
What Phyllis isn’t ready for is what she finds at the Jabot office. Billy’s in the office but he’s not alone. He’s there with her daughter and he doesn’t hesitate to spill the details of their affair!

Phyllis is blindsided by this bombshell, as was poor Summer. She was sure she and Billy would be together, but he told her right in front of Phyllis that the only reason he slept with he was to get back at her mother.
