The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, September 23, 2019, promise the Newman family war games going way off the rails. Victoria’s under arrest, Michael works both sides of the case and Chelsea caves to Adam’s demands.
Adam Gets His Way
Adam (Mark Grossman) uses his father’s “death” for all it’s worth, including emotionally blackmailing Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). He calls, he texts, and he even shows up demanding a visit with their son.
Chelsea will do all she can to prevent Connor from seeing Adam, including taking some rather shady advice from Nick (Joshua Morrow), but it does no good. She caves (like always). Not only does Adam see Connor but he breaks the news about Victor.
DA Dreary
Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracey Bregman) meet for coffee at Crimson Lights to talk about all Adam’s schemes and scams. That boy is nothing but problems. Poor Michael is under his thumb and must find a way to get out from under his rule.
The one good thing Adam did was alert them to their son’s troubles. Lauren now has Fenmore stashed away in rehab. He’ll get himself clean, better, and rejoin the tour when it’s he is back on his feet.
A Shocking Twist
Sadly, Michael’s next move will ruin everything for the Newman family. He calls for the arrest of Victor’s eldest child.
Oh, yes, Adam pushes Michael to smack the cuffs on his sister and haul her away. And, why not? All evidence points to Victoria (Amelia Heinle). The drugs and tablet in her desk all but cement her future leaving Rey and Paul (Doug Davidson) no choice.
But, wait, the Newman’s have an out! There can’t be a murder case if the victim isn’t dead. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) runs home to tell a very much alive Victor their daughter is going down.
The Hilary Factor
It’s not just the Newman family embroiled in drama. Devon’s (Bryton James) also faces some trouble too. He turns to Jill (Jess Walton) for help fending off Chance’s accusations, but it’s no good. She can’t get ahold of her grandson, Tucker is off the grid, and the lawyer isn’t going away.
What’s the deal with the Amanda (Mishael Morgan), anyway? It’s no accident she looks like Hilary and it’s definitely no accident she’s in town with no proof of what she claims. Something fishy is going on and they intend to get to the bottom of things.
Of course, they aren’t wrong. Amanda makes several calls to her contact to no avail. Is she part of the plot or is was she thrown into the Genoa City world not knowing the impact her face would make? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
