The Young and the Restless spoilers raw breakdown for Monday, July 20, 2020, features two very special episodes in one. It’s the very first two shows that kickstarted television life in Genoa City.
It’s a life-changing day for Brad Eliot (Tom Hallick). He gets roughed up something fierce and makes a bombshell decision. Instead of going home or to the hospital, he hops in a trucker’s rig to get away from his pregnant wife. It’s by sheer chance he winds up in Genoa City. Little does he know
Back home, Barbara (Deidre Hall) searches for her husband only to be told he’s dead. There was an accident and his car was totaled and the driver mangled beyond recognition. Too bad no one knew Brad was mugged, car jacked, and beat up — it wasn’t him who was left for dead.
Fans are also introduced to the Foster family. Jill (Brenda Dickson) has big dreams of owning a nail salon, Greg’s off trying to become a lawyer, and Snapper (William Grey Espy) plans to be a doc.
Before getting serious about a career, Snapper wants to play the field. He has Sally (Lee Crawford) smitten but she’s not the only one interested. Chris (Trish Stewart) is also head over heels for him.
In fact, Chris is so in love that Stuart (Robert Colbert) has a talk with the young man about his daughter. He and his wife, Jennifer (Dorothy Green) are very protective of their daughters and want to shield Chris from this young man.
All this is very lucky for Brad who is at the restaurant too. The newcomer can’t pay for his bill so Stuart picks up the check. This cements his decision to stay in this strange town and even kicks off Brad’s new career in the newspaper. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
