The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, July 8, 2020, takes fans back to scorching summer drama from August 2000. The teen scene is heating up and the kids take center stage.
Mac (Ashley Bashioum) likes Billy, Billy (then David Tom) likes Mac, and Brittany (Lauren Woodland) wants to get in their way. Billy is her boyfriend and she’s not letting the newcomer get in her way. Watch for a whole lot of poolside drama when the kids record a video for Jabot that ends in hurt feelings and jealousy.
As if that’s not enough side-eye for Mac, she also has Jill (Jess Walton) getting on her case. Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) is convinced Mac is her granddaughter but Jill doesn’t think that’s the case. Kay turns to Paul (Doug Davidson) for support and even he begins to question the teen’s intention. Is Mac lying about her identity?
To make things worse, Jill knows about Billy’s crush on the “grifter” and turns to Jack to smooth out those rough waters. How can her son be falling for a girl like that? She asks Jack to help keep Billy in line, and that means keeping him interested in Brittany and not Mac.
The teens aren’t the only ones getting fiery. Michael (Christian LeBlanc) is dating Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and it’s driving Christine (Lauralee Bell) up the wall. Red is a danger to her and Paul (Doug Davidson) and she expected better from a fellow lawyer.
Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) are also having issues. He wants to know if she’s over Matt’s (Russell Lawrence) attack. Well, of course she is, she says, it happened all those years ago. It seems Nick says Matt’s name one too many times and jinxes the situation. The baddie is on his way back to town and passes Sharon while checking in for work at the coffee house!
Meanwhile, the Winters family has reason to celebrate when Olivia (Tonya Lee Williams) comes home from the hospital. She’s on the mend and the prognosis is great, as long as she takes time to relax. Thankfully, she has a whole bunch of people ready to step up to the plate to help. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
