The Young and the Restless spoilers raw breakdown for Tuesday, July 7, 2020, brings fans back to 2005. It’s the fourth of July in Genoa City and Gloria’s hosting the summer bash of the year — after a recent tragedy.
Gloria’s (Judith Chapman) in her element hosting her first party as Mrs. Abbott. She’s the hostess wth the mostest and struts her stuff all around the pool filling glasses, feeding her family and friends, and smiling ear to ear the entire time.
All isn’t as well as Gloria’s portrays, though. Terrible Tom is still a huge factor in her life and she and her sons fear it’s going to get much, much worse. What if he resurfaces before Glo legally declares him dead? Her marriage to John is on the line and she can’t have anything messing it up.
Almost everyone who’s anyone makes an appearance, including a grieving Sharon (Sharon Case). She slaps on a smile for Noah’s sake, but she’s still reeling from Cassie’s loss. Sharon takes a moment alone inside to cry, which is interrupted by Brad (Don Diamont).
Victor (Eric Braeden and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) are not in the party loop. They are still shaken by Cassie’s sudden loss and upset Nick left his family to hunt down Daniel. How can he leave his family at a time like this? Oh well, they have lives to live and things to do, including planning a cruise.
The Winters family is also not there. Malcolm (Shemar Moore) will make it but Devon (Bryton James) and Dru (Victoria Rowell) have quite a rough time at home. He’s found his biological mom again and breaks down and shares the news with a very heartsick Dru.
While Devon loves and adores Dru, he wants the connection to something more. He wants to get to know his mother. Unfortunately, that may not be the best idea, at least for right now.
Meanwhile, JT (Thad Luckinbill) and Brittany’s (Lauren Woodland) baby scheme goes off the rails when Mac (Rachel Kimsey) wants him back. Poor JT is stuck between protecting his bestie and her unborn child and reclaiming the love of his life. In the end, he’ll do what all good guys do and choose the right thing at the time but the wrong thing in the long run. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
