The Young and the Restless spoilers raw breakdown for Wednesday, June 17, 2020, reveals Olivia’s time to shine. She and Malcolm take center stage in a flashback episode featuring their wedding from July 11, 1997.
It’s Olivia’s (Tonya Lee Williams) wedding day to Malcolm (Shemar Moore), so why is she dreaming about Neil (Kristoff St. John)? Well, you can’t control your fantasies, right? She brushes off the visions, hugs her son, and gets ready for her big day.
Dru (Victoria Rowell) questions whether or not her sister is ready to commit to Malcolm. Of course, she is, Olivia says. She just needs to call the hospital first. Big mistake. Her delay will cause an uproar at the church.
Malcolm is on cloud nine. He’s marrying his soulmate and can’t wait to take his vows. He’ll spend his morning getting all decked out with Neil. This is sure to be the best day of his life, right?
Everyone who’s anyone puts on their Sunday best and gathers for the big event. Well, everyone except the bride. Neil and Dru will all but call out a search party to find where Olivia ran off to. Luckily, she makes it for her big moment, but barely.
Jill (Jess Walton) and Keith (Granville Van Dusen) will be dressed for success but the wedding is the last thing on her mind. She’s well aware her stepdaughter is in love with Ryan, who is very much married to Nina (Tricia Cast). She’s on pins and needles to see if Nina takes his arm at the wedding or if Ryan (Scott Reeves) leaves the celebration alone.
Phyllis (then-Sandra Nelson) is cooking up a big scheme. Danny’s demanded a DNA test on their son and she needs Brian’s blood to pull it off. So, she gets it and switches the samples. But she’s not quite done with him yet. She has to convince him they spent the night together to bring her evil plot together.
Meanwhile, Danny (Michael Damian) awaits the results. He’s sure his wife is telling him the truth. Their tiny tot is his and that’s all there is to it. Gina (Patty Weaver) is not convinced, though. She’s sure Phyllis is a liar and Danny’s in for a big surprise. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
