The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, January 9, 2020, reveal a restart to Phick (maybe?), the definite beginning of Chadam, a new kind of life for Tessa and Mariah, and Sharon’s worst nightmare. Several lives are taking romantic turns and you will not want to miss a moment.
It’s the eve Cassie’s would-be-birthday and her parents are nursing multiple heartbreaks and traumas. For Nick (Joshua Morrow), that means having a meeting with Devon (Bryton James) about giving back. The men chat about Elena’s (Brytni Sarpy) clinic idea.
They are then interrupted by Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). She’s there to talk about Nick’s single status and yep, you guessed it, flirting ensues. Will his breakup with Chelsea lead to a Phick reunion? Or will someone else need Nick more?
As for Sharon (Sharon Case), she’s in a living hell when her mammogram appointment turns into an ultrasound that then turns into terrible news. She has a tumor and faces the harsh possibility of cancer. Her next step is having a biopsy. Will she finally open up and ask the people who love her for support?
Cassie’s birthday means it’s Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) too and her night is full of highs and lows. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) announces she’s going on tour but makes it clear she wants to keep Mariah too.

The ladies share a romantic evening and reconnect just in time for Tessa to get ready to hit the road. Tessa gives Mariah her diary to show how much she loves her.
While those two face the possibility of growing apart, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Mark Grossman) grow closer. The two agree to give their romance a full-on, honest-to-goodness shot. This is it. It’s do or die and they decide to jump in with both feet.
Grab your snack and get ready for the love scene of the year (so far, at least) when Adam takes Chelsea into his arms.
This is the moment fans have been waiting for — Chadam is back and this time, it’s for good. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
