The Young and the Restless spoilers raw breakdown for Friday, August 7, 2020, takes fans back to Adam’s explosive 2016 “death.” It was an odd time in GC with his family actually on his side for once.
The hunt for Adam (then Justin Hartley) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) kicks into high gear with Dylan (Steve Burton) kicking off the chase. He holds a press conference and announces their escape and asks the public to help bring the couple in.
The news has Jack’s (Peter Bergman) blood pressure rising. He’ll storm the Newman Ranch wanting answers. What he gets is Victor remaining tight-lipped, even after the cops show up asking questions.
Meanwhile, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) worry Dylan’s announcement will destroy all hope of Adam getting away. He’s so close to getting out of this town and away from this mess, but will he? Yes, but not in the way anyone thinks.
As for Adam, he and Chelsea hide out in a cabin and try to plot their next move. They want to leave but a very sick Connor puts a hitch in their plan. The tot needs medical attention ASAP and it simply can not wait. Cue Chelsea with a plan she thinks may just work.
Unfortunately, leaving Adam alone at the isolated house turns out to be a massive mistake. The cops don’t get him, but Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) does. She turns up to torture her daughter’s killer and set his world on fire. There is no way she’s letting him leave this town alive!
Back in the city, Chloe’s beau is completely unaware his lady love is gone — never mind gone off the rails. Expect Kevin (Greg Rikaart) to be blissfully naive thinking she’s upstairs while he paddles around taking care of Bella and visiting with Daniel.
Drama also unfolds for Neil (Kristoff St. John). He has it out with his estranged mother. She’s close to death and does not want to leave this earth without making peace. Neil hears her story, cries tears of sorrow, and realizes things were not always the way he thought.
Get your tissues ready (if you don’t already have them at this point) to rewatch these touching scenes. Neil’s pain is almost more than we can bear. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
