The Young and the Restless spoilers preview for July 20-24, 2020 are here. Find out what Genoa City players are up to this coming week with two very special episodes on Monday!
It’s quite a week in Genoa City as Monday will look unrecognizable to anyone not watching this soap in the 1970s. The show was a half-hour long then, so to fill the hour, YR edited the first two episodes together and give us quite a treat with the introduction of the Brooks and Foster families. The only character who remains today is Jill, then played by Brenda Dickson and now played by Jess Walton.
However, we also get familiarity later in the week with Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), who have been guiding the show since the 1980s after the Brooks and Forster clans were essentially written out of the show and the Newmans and Abbotts took over. That’s when YR became a corporate war soap.
We also get to see newlyweds Dru (Victoria Rowell) and Neil (Kristoff St. John) and all their friends as they share moments of happiness before everything went downhill. Still, they were one of YR’s most enduring pairs.
We even get to skip ahead a generation as Neil and Dru’s adopted son, Devon (Bryton James) marries Hilary (Mishael Morgan). Of course, Dru was dead by now and Neil was married to Hilary first, so things did not go well.
The Young and the Restless has been back taping for two weeks, so is it possible we will have new episodes by July 27? Either way, see what’s coming this week in the tweeted The Young and the Restless spoilers preview promo below.
